Rubik’s Cube looking building
Javier Lloret made a building look like a Rubik’s cube. Making use of the media facade of the Ars Electronica in Linz, Austria, he projected the Rubik’s Cube in a huge way by creating a building to look like one. Onlookers and passers by were encouraged to solve the cube.

To achieve this building a blank white cube with tracking systems was used. Then input information was fed to software which calculated where the colors would be on the cube.
After this was done information was sent to the media facade of the Ars Electronica. From this the users were able to determine the building – size puzzle with their hands.
Here you had a new aspect of solving the puzzle because only 2 sides could be seen at once and it is a more challenging way of solving the Rubik’s Cube . This amazing building became a public and interesting event.

In the video you see a puzzle of a row of cars in the middle. You have corresponding color sections which need to be matched up.

The idea is to match up two different colored cars with the correct color section. You’re able to move the puzzle forwards and backwards and to left and right. Also the cars can be moved along the channel that’s it’s already situated on.
There are color sections on either of the row of cars. This puzzle is fairly interesting and it’s quite complicated. You may have to be good at puzzles to solve this one.

The Rubik’s Cube became a very popular puzzle in America, in the early 1980s. It also earned its place as an exhibit in New York’s museum of Modern art.

Today You Tube has about 40,000 Rubik’s Cube tutorials, along with video clips of quick solutions. The Rubik’s Cube has also been used in many films. Placing a Rubiks Cube in films is done with the intention of establishling a character of high intelligence. Their is even a cartoon named, Rubik the Amazing Cube.

The character of this cartoon is built like a Rubik’s Cube. One common TV series called Law and Order, also depicted a Rubik’s Cube. A couple of other films I know to have shown the Rubik’s Cube are, Whatever Happened to Robot Jones and Bang Theory. The Eurovision Song Contest has featured the Rubik’s Cube. On April 14, 2013, the National Geographic aired episode 2, The Revolutionaries, of their documentary series, The 80’s.
