Rubik’s cube activities

There exists many Rubik’s Cube solving methods for the 3 x 3 Rubik’s Cube. Some methods are easier than others. As a learner of the Rubik’s Cube I would advise you to choose the simplest method of solving the cube.

All the different methods require a different number of moves to solve the Rubik’s Cube. The easiest method to learn will consist of lesser algorithms. The methods that consist of more algorithms enable you to solve the cube in less moves.

By learning more algorithms, it makes I possible to solve each section faster.
You will not need to carry out every algorithm of a solving method to solve the cube. All the algorithms of a solving method are just the ones you will use when you reach a possible situation.

All the different solving methods of the 3 x 3 Rubik’s Cube that I know of are as follows.
(1)The Long Layer Method
(2)The Roux Method
(3)The Water man Method

When I learnt to solve the cube in the 1980’s, I learnt the Long Layer Method. This was the common learning method at the time. It is a method consisting of about 10 algorithms. The algorithms are easy to learn. On average, it takes about 120 moves to solve the cube using this method.

You don’t necessarily have to learn the algorithms to solve he cube using this method. You can also learn it by watching someone make the moves to solve each section.
There is at least one other solving method for the 3 x 3 Rubik’s Cube that I don’t know the name of.

Other Rubik’s Cubes that range from the 2 x 2 to the 20 x 20 Rubik’s Cube have a different solving method to that of the 3 x 3 cube.
You are able to find the solving method of all sized cubes at You Tube or a Google search.

Alternatively you may decide to learn any of the methods from a book.
Books will generally cover tutorials that range from the 2 x 2 to the 5 x 5 Rubik’s Cubes. Because the 3 x 3 Rubik’s Cube is so much popular than all the others, a very high percentage of cube tutorials will only cover the 3 x 3 Rubik’s Cube.

You will find the cube solving method that you’re most suited to. All the good cube tutorial books include good diagrams.

All the best Rubik’s Cube solving methods are very well designed. They explain each step carefully. The instructions are straightforward and they are assisted with presentable diagrams.
